1、Kwok Keung Bernard HON: Chutian scholar Professor of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Chair Professor of University of Liverpool, Leader of an EPSRC Global Sustainable Manufacturing Research Network between the UK and China. He was the Head of Department of Industrial Studies; the Director of Integrated Graduate Development Scheme (MSc Technology and Manufacturing Management); the Director of Merseyside TCS Centre; the Director of Product Innovation and Development Centre; the Head of Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Management; the Deputy Dean of Faculty of Engineering; the Chairman of Faculty of Engineering Research Committee; the Director of MSc in Product Design and Management; the Director of MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology. His researches include Sustainable Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems Optimization, Advanced Fabrication Processes and Virtual Manufacturing. Total research grants and contracts from DTI, EPSRC, EU, HEFCE, RAEng, NWDA and industry are over £10.3 million. He has collaborated with Birmingham, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Manchester and Nottingham Universities in the UK; and internationally with KTH, Rhode Island, Shanghai JiaoTong, Southern California and Tokyo. He has managed his own research groups of up to 20 from time to time and He maintains a strong international profile as shown by 11 invitations for keynote paper presentations. He edited 3 books and published over 120 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and invited to speak at conferences and seminars in Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, USA and Yugoslavia, and he is the holder of 2 patents. 2、Mark Jolly: Professor Mark Jolly holds a PhD in casting of tin alloys (Cambridge). He is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Institution of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a Fellow of the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers, a Member of the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society of America, member of the American Foundry Society and member of the Investment Casting Institute. Before working in academia he sent 13 years in industry at tier 1 and 2 suppliers into the automotive and general manufacturing industries. At Cranfield University he is Professor of Sustainable Manufacturing and Head of the Sustainable Manufacturing Systems Centre. He sits on the senior management team for the Manufacturing Theme and is one of two academics sitting on the Cranfield Manufacturing Council chaired by Lord Alec Broers. He is the Cranfield director for the EPSRC funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing. His current areas of research are the circular economy and sustainability including resource efficient manufacturing, process modelling and novel casting processes. |
